I grew up in the New Forest but spent my twenties and thirties living and working in London's bustling 'theatreland'. When my children were small I had a career change and became a childminder. This meant that in between playgroups and school runs I had the time to bake, all children need cake right?! Here are a few of my more adventurous creations
When we made the big move out of London to sunny Somerset in 2009, I found myself childminding less and baking more. We designed and built our new kitchen in 2013 and at that point I decided there was no better place to be.
I've been selling my brownies on a small scale locally since 2012, and I have some very dedicated customers. People buy them to treat themselves or to give as gifts, and I always get the same response -
'Wow, these are the best brownies I've ever tasted'.
I've often sent them to friends when they've had a baby, it's a present for the parents, and something they can share with all those visitors. I discovered they travel very well - and after much encouragement from friends and family, I decided to set up Homemade and Moreish.
